My first mission trip was supposed to last 3 months, but has extended to this day.

My name is Natalia, and I am 30 years old. I have a wonderful husband and a beautiful daughter.
I am responsible for our ministry to orphaned children and foster families (children who previously lived in our children’s home, “Daddy’s Home”). I also serve as the leader of the Preteens Ministry for children aged 8 to 14 and oversee the mission’s finances.

I became part of the mission in 2017 when I came to Kenya on a short-term mission trip that was supposed to last only three months. However, God had different plans. Since then, Kenya has become the place of my ministry, and the mission has become my extended family.
Back in Ukraine, one of my main ministries was working with teenagers. That is why children of this age group have always held a special place in my heart. In 2020, I began serving preteens here in Kenya as well. Today, we have an amazing team of Kenyan leaders who help us in this ministry.

Every week, around 200 preteens attend our program, and I am truly grateful to be part of what God is doing in their lives.
When I first arrived in Kenya, I served in our school, helping with Bible lessons, games, crafts, drawing activities, relay races, dancing, and health education classes. Outside of school hours, I spent my time with the children from our children’s home.
As I got to know them, I could see the pain behind many of their smiles. Although they often appeared happy, many carried deep wounds in their hearts.
In some ways, I understood their pain. My father left our family when I was six years old, and for several years I was separated from my mother. Because of this, I knew how much these children needed love, acceptance, encouragement, and genuine care. Most importantly, I knew they needed to know Jesus.

I wanted to share that love with them.

Over time, I realized that I could not leave. I had fallen in love with these children. They became part of my life, and they will always hold a special place in my heart.

That’s why when people ask me how many children I have,

I tell them I am a happy mother of 30!
