My first mission trip was supposed to last 3 months, but has extended to this day.
My name is Natasha. I have a wonderful husband, and a beautiful daughter. I am in charge of our orphanage called “ daddy’s home” and and pre-teens ministry for children ages 9-12. I have been part of this mission since 2017.
When I was in Ukraine, one of my ministries was for teenagers. Therefore, here, children of this age are very close to my heart. In 2020, I started serving this age in Kenya as well. Now we have a wonderful team of Africans who help us. The service takes place every Wednesday. About 320 teenagers come every week. And I am very happy to be a part of this ministry.
At first I was involved in our school. Bible lessons, games, crafts, drawing, relay races, dancing and medical hour. Free time from school I spent with the children from the orphanage. I felt like I could see the pain in their eyes. Children who smiled were happy at first but had wounded hearts. Partly, I understood them. My dad left us when I was 6, and I didn't live with my mom for probably 3 years. I clearly understood what they needed - hugs, love, words of support and acquaintance with Jesus.
I wanted to share this. After a while, I realized that I could not leave. I love our kids so much. Now they are part of me. They are in my heart.
That’s why when people ask me how many children I have,
I tell them I’m a happy mom with 27 children!
