I am John Baraka, the Pastor of New Life Church in Kapuothe. I am married to Elvira Zhombina and we have a wonderful boy, Leon Luca. We have been in ministry and pastorship together for a year now and I can testify that God has indeed been faithful.
Serving the people in the slum communities of Kapuothe and Nyalenda in Kisumu has been by God's grace.
God has given me the heart for service and love for His people.
I am glad that I am involved in making disciples for Christ and raising leaders through mentorship, teaching God's Word, and preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ to these people. I also thank God for the grace of visiting people and always being able to pray for them in their homes.
My desire has always been to bring the light of Christ and the true gospel to the heart of the people through preaching Jesus as Savior and Lord and to show them how much they need Jesus; because He is all we could ever need.
